A December engagement shot in the fog; cameras in both their hands, matching red gloves and red socks, and the Brooklyn Bridge rising out of soft grey behind their backs.
Alfredo brought a Canon Super-8. Lexi brought a small rangefinder and a pair of red wool gloves. Before anything happened, they spent twenty minutes photographing the bridge — and each other, mostly each other — on their own film.

At Jane's Carousel they sat on the granite steps and swapped cameras. She took his portrait through the rangefinder; he filmed her reaction to being filmed. We stopped shooting for a minute and let them have the moment — then kept going when they forgot we were there.

I'm obsessed!...they are so good! -Lexi said after getting their photos.
As we moved down to the waterfront, and the fog closed in until Manhattan was just suggestion. We converted this sequence to monochrome in the edit — the colour had already left the air, it felt honest.

After the bridge we walked into Dumbo proper. She kept the red gloves on. He kept stealing glances. The colour kept finding them a red brick wall, the warm steps at the carousel, the way his red socks peeked out when he crossed his legs.

We were privileged to document these too on a foggy afternoon in December 2025. Their playfulness was infectious.
